The extraordinary world of Mike Harridge - his exhibition is open to the public from tomorrow, the 6th of December.

Mike and I go back a long way. We have been friends since the very early '70's

Few know that he is a multi gold medal winner at the Chelsea Flower show with his horticultural work.

What a personal joy for me to see his exhibition (I think his first in many years) on the walls at the BAREFOOT GALLERY.

Shuzo Azuchi Gulliver

Shuzo and I met in Germany in 2010 where we were invited to participate in an exhibition. We were together with artists and photographers from Chile, Togo, Nicaragua and the USA. Our curator and fellow exhibitor was BODO who was celebrating the return of his sculpture/installation Figura Magica to its home in Wuppertal.

Shuzo's work is quite extraordinary...very extraordinary. I will not try to describe it here. He has just left Sri Lanka after a three week stay in and about Kataragama - being inspired and working towards an exhibition he will have next year.

He is fun, articulate, clever amusing and kind. I am intrigued by what he might produce next year.
