Had to go there for something a few days ago and found the interior to be pretty cool as well.

You ought to link these images to their actual locations on Google Earth. Yes its an additional layer of toil but it would put Colombo on a map a bit more.
Right now there isn't much on Colombo despite the high rez sat. images. Not all - only a select few.

The service is called Panoramio and it seems now to be closely linked to Goodle Earth with some similarity to Flickr. Their wikipedia entry is a bit glowing so I found this 3rd party overview that might be helpful.

Panoramio's terms and copyright section is worth a look to check if they are ok by you with regard to your professional work. From what I've read on their site it looks like you'd have to store your images on their servers but I haven't read through all their info/agreements yet.

There is a FAQ on their site which so far seems quite informative.

This discussion on a blog links to some copyright related issues as well as Panoramio's Photo acceptance policy. Short version: they prefer images of places.

I'm not associated with Panoramio in any way. I discovered Google Earth a bit before I got into blogging. I love maps and geography so Google Earth is quite a toy right now. I'm still unearthing (no pun intended) some other features as I go along.

These two weeks are swamped as I'm settling back into Sri Lanka from another continent but I'd be happy to help out in anyway I can afterwards. I'm betting that indi might be able to fill you in. Hopefully all this doesn't add another layer to your workflow.
