Fr. Harry Miller S.J. St. Michael's College, Batticaloa.
Fr. Harry Miller S.J. arrived in Sri Lanka in 1948. Born in New Orleans to a devout Catholic family, this 83 year old has seen a lot in his sixty years on this island. He is head of the Peace Committee in Batticaloa and been a pillar of strength for the citizens in this East Coast town.
His room in the Eastern Turret of St. Michael's College is a wonderful space.

What a surprise! Thanks so much for this impression.
It was Dezember 2003 when wo got the permission to talk to him. We will never forget this amazing moment: a very small thin old man wearing clothes which seemed to be of the same age...and when he opened his mouth the room was suddenly filled with electricity...what an experience.
The photo gives the impression that he is still the same...we are so happy about
Thanks, Roland

It is a wonderful picture of Father Miller who was a young priest & Rector in 1960s when I was in my middle school at St. Michale's College. Now I live in SC, USA for 25 years leaving my home town, Batticaloa, because of the civil war in Sri Lanka. For my surprise this picture woke me up to think back how this man lives for 60 years there and to realize the existence of mine in this planet.
Neil,
Thank you. Father Miller is back in the States now, why not look him up? He has retired....
Cheers
Father Harry Miller is back in Batticaloa.
It is a god-willing that he is back to where he belongs, Batticaloa, Srilanka.
Father Miller is just such an inspiring person! He has influenced my life in many, fateful ways, in the few minutes we have met!
